I first bought a cookbook by Joyce when living in London - she is pretty well-known there, appearing in magazines and on TV - she was associated with cooking establishments in Notting Hill etc. so always seems to be on the leading edge, and that's probably why I think her books are fun. She uses interesting herbs and spices from different cuisines and combines them in interesting ways - this book seems to have a lot of Asian and Indian influence, offering a little travel adventure. I own Diva Cooking and Meals in Heals and use the recipes a lot - several are standards for when I entertain or even cooking for my family because the recipes look so cool, are delicious and feel original - nice combination. I think this figure-friendly version is a good idea - I have only tried 3 recipes from Skinny but they were all creative and yummy - the rest 'read' like they also will be good and I love all the interesting vegetables. Overall, a fun and creative cookbook - would put it on my Christmas list if I didn't own it already. Did just buy 2 for gifts - price is nice and it makes nice interesting present for friends.
