I have struggled with a storage system that lets me see all my shoes and gives a good storage area for my boots, sandals and athletic shoes and this does it! I ordered three units. The first one took me a little over an hour to assemble, the last one took about thirty minutes. Pay close attention to the length of the pole that the instructions call for! Each unit holds 16 pairs of shoes easily. I was surprised at how sturdy they were. They easily accommodate my boots, work shoes, athletic shoes, heels and sandals. I wear women's size 11 and I was worried they wouldn't be big enough for my shoes (especially my boots) but they were! The “shelves” are fabric. I was looking for something budget friendly that was more than just a box or tiny rack and this fit the bill. I like the cover as this shoe rack sits outside my bedroom next to the bathroom that other people in my home use so I wanted something a bit nicer than what I had before, a little metal shoe rack that got quite messy quite fast. I’m using it mostly for sneakers and chanclas, so I can’t attest for the sturdiness of the shelves. Although the similar rack I have in my closet, my chonky cat broke the bottom “shelf” but I’m not sure how heavy he is. Bottom line, good quality, great price, super easy to assemble no regrets!I read a lot of reviews and was scared to buy this. I assembled it slowly and carefully and did not have any major problems. Small problem 2 or 3 times was when the poles would not go fully into the hole. I was able to gently do some twisting but it was tought at first. I loaded it up with shoes, heaviest at the bottom and so far have not anchored it. It is standing straight. I rolled up there curtain and it won't stay. I hat to rig that. I like everything else.
